DELFT, the Netherlands – Ampelmann has assisted SBM Offshore with hookup and commissioning of the FPSO Liza Destiny on the Liza field offshore Guyana.
An Ampelmann E-type gangway system was mobilized on the Normand Installer vessel to allow personnel to access the FPSO. Operations took place 200 km (124 mi) offshore.
The E-type is designed to fully compensate vessel motions in wave heights up to 4.5 m (14.76 ft).
