    Ampelmann gangway takes personnel to offshore Guyana floater

    Ampelmann has assisted SBM Offshore with hookup and commissioning of the FPSO Liza Destiny on the Liza field offshore Guyana.

    DELFT, the Netherlands – Ampelmann has assisted SBM Offshore with hookup and commissioning of the FPSO Liza Destiny on the Liza field offshore Guyana.

    An Ampelmann E-type gangway system was mobilized on the Normand Installer vessel to allow personnel to access the FPSO. Operations took place 200 km (124 mi) offshore.

    The E-type is designed to fully compensate vessel motions in wave heights up to 4.5 m (14.76 ft).
