ABERDEEN, UK – BP has extended Vroon Offshore Services’ (VOS) contract to supply emergency response and rescue vessels (ERRVs) in the UK North Sea and west of Shetland.
The three-year extension until 2023 is valued at around £30 million ($38.67 million), and covers deployment of the VOS Discovery, VOS Fairness, VOS Innovator, and VOS Vigilant.
Craig Harvie, VOS Aberdeen managing director, pointed out that many of the company’s vessels have diesel-electric power generation that reduces their carbon emissions.
VOS operates 38 ERRVs out of Aberdeen. Many have cargo-carrying capabilities, while some also have towage and tanker-assist features.
