MONACOSBM Offshore has four standard multi-purpose hulls under construction for new FPSOs, after delivering the hull for the FPSO Liza Unity at the end of last year.

Two have been allocated to firm projects: the FPSO Sepetiba for the Mero project offshore Brazil and the FPSO Prosperity for the third Stabroek field development offshore Guyana, pending government approvals, project sanction and an authorization to proceed with the next phase.

The Liza Unity, for ExxonMobil’s Liza Phase 2 project off Guyana, is progressing according to the schedule. SBM Offshore’s first Fast4Ward multi-purpose hull, built in China, has arrived in Singapore allowing topsides integration work to get under way.

Work on the FPSO Sepetiba project is gathering pace at the company’s Kuala Lumpur office, with the multi-purpose hull under construction at the SWS yard in China.

Fabrication continues of the turret mooring system for Equinor’s Johan Castberg FPSO in the Barents Sea. The second module has been delivered to the client while the final two modules are on track for delivery later this year.
