Noble semisub to drill for Berlanga offshore Myanmar

Noble Corp. has issued an update on its offshore drilling rig fleet.

LONDON – Noble Corp. has issued an update on its offshore drilling rig fleet.

Offshore Myanmar, Berlanga has contracted the semisubmersible Noble Clyde Boudreaux at a day rate of $135,000. The contract is expected to run from mid-March 2020 to late April 2020. It includes a one-well option.

Offshore Trinidad, BHP has awarded the jackup Noble Regina Allen a one-month contract extension. The contract is now expected to run from September 2020 to March 2021.

Offshore Suriname, the drillship Noble Sam Croft’s contract with Apache is expected to end in June 2020.

Offshore Saudi Arabia, the jackup Noble Joe Beall’s contract with Saudi Aramco is expected to end this month. Noble said the rig will not be marketed after this contract is completed.

The company said it anticipates +/-14 days of planned maintenance at a zero day rate in 3Q 2020 for the jackup Noble Roger Lewis, which is under contract to Aramco.

Off the UK, the jackup Noble Houston Colbert’s contract with RockRose Energy is expected to end in late May 2020.

Also, in the UK North Sea, the drilling contractor said Equinor could complete the jackup Noble Lloyd Noble’s contract as early as Sept. 1, 2020. The contract was expected to end in late November 2020.
