Tamarind Resources has notified BW Offshore Ltd. that it will not extend the contract for the FPSO Umuroa, which operates on the Tui field offshore New Zealand.

The FPSO Umuroa has been operating at the Tui field offshore New Zealand since July 2007.

OSLO, Norway – Tamarind Resources has notified BW Offshore Ltd. that it will not extend the contract for the FPSO Umuroa, whichoperates on the Tui field offshore New Zealand.
The effective termination date is Dec. 31, 2019.
BW will now start preparing for demobilization of the unit from the field.
The Umuroa began production from the Tui field in the Taranaki basin in July 2007.
