LYNGBY, Denmark – Maersk Supply Service will provide an integrated mooring lines life extension solution for Shell’s FPSO Fluminense offshore Brazil.
This includes project management, engineering, interface management, and offshore execution.
With the offshore phase expected to start in December, the project includes heading control of the FPSO, replacement of mooring lines, as well as installation and hook up of the new mooring components.
The subsea support vessel Maersk Achiever, along with one to two Maersk L-class anchor handling tug supply vessels, will mobilize to Brazil after completing another mooring lines replacement project offshore West Africa.
The FPSO has been operating at the Bijupirá and Salema oil fields in the Campos basin since August 2003. It is moored in water depths of about 740 m (2,428 ft).
