COPENHAGEN, Denmark – Maersk Drilling has sold the jackup Giant (ex-Mærsk Giant) to the LOTOS Petrobaltic Group.
LOTOS will employ the rig for drilling solely in the Baltic Sea, both for the group and for other contracting parties.
“The rig was built in 1986 and the sale is part of our fleet optimization in line with our strategic priority of maintaining a fleet of modern, high-quality assets,” said Jesper Ridder Olsen, CFO of Maersk Drilling.
