Oxan, Ingka team with Avapa for two Italian offshore wind developments

AvenHexicon, a JV between Italian developer Avapa and Hexicon, have initiated studies for the Sicily South and Sardinia Northwest developments.

Oxan Energy and Ingka Investments, via their joint venture (JV) NexVenti, have agreed to collaborate with Avapa Energy on two floating offshore wind projects in Italy with a combined potential installed capacity of 2.45 GW.

AvenHexicon, a JV between Italian developer Avapa and Hexicon, have initiated studies for the Sicily South and Sardinia Northwest developments.

NexVenti and Avapa will also seek to participate in the support auction, with the goal of constructing and operating the facilities for both projects.

Ingka Investments operates 45 wind farms across 16 countries while Oxan Energy brings experience in floating offshore wind developments. The two companies have also teamed up to bid for France’s next offshore wind tender in France.

Since 2023, Avapa and Ingka Investments have been jointly working on solar photovoltaic projects in Italy located in the regions of Veneto, Puglia, Molise, Sicily and Sardinia.
