TGS has expanded its collaboration with Aker BP for the digitalization of operations at the Yggdrasil oil and gas development in the Norwegian North Sea.
Aker BP will integrate TGS’ Prediktor Data Gateway service into its digital setup for Yggdrasil as a process data server.
The company views the Yggdrasil project as setting a new standard in terms of remotely controlled operations, unmanned production platforms, new technology, and data-driven decisions and work processes.
Using Prediktor Data Gateway, Aker BP will make use of real-time data from OT systems through an OPC-UA standard information model to improve decision-making, TGS said.
Prediktor Data Gateway is designed to provide scalable solutions adapted to the specific needs of this project, TGS added.
