ABERDEEN, UK — Parkmead Group has completed Phase 1 of a net-zero feasibility study for its proposed Greater Perth Area (GPA) project in the UK central North Sea with Worley and the Scott Area partners.
The main conclusion is that the tieback of the GPA through Scott provides various viable options for reinjection of the associated Perth gas, post-processing on Scott, in line with the North Sea Transition Authority’s strategy concerning reduced flaring and net zero developments.
The Scott platform is 10 km southeast of the GPA development area. Work continues on seeking suitable partners for the GPA project and potential life extension of nearby infrastructure through which oil and gas could be developed.
Earlier transportation studies confirmed there are no technical hurdles associated with the transportation and processing of fluids from the Perth producing wells to the offshore infrastructure and onshore facilities.
Parkmead estimates potential recoverable resources at 100 MMbbl.
During the current quarter, the company will start a rig tendering process to drill the Skerryvore exploration well in the central UK North Sea. Exceed Energy has the well management services contract.
Skerryvore comprises stacked light oil prospects at the Mey and Tor intervals.
