Global Maritime supports four North Sea platform removals

Global Maritime recently completed the marine warranty scope for another removal campaign in Southern North Sea, making a total of 10 successful campaigns in the region over the last four years for three different clients and five removal contractors.

STAVANGER, Norway— Global Maritime has completed the marine warranty scope for a gas platforms removal campaign in the UK southern North Sea.
Offshore contractors AF Decom and DEME, using the Orion vessel, removed the Vanguard QD, North Valiant SP, South Valiant TD and Vulcan RD platforms.
All structures were transported to Able UK in Hartlepool, northeast England, to undergo dismantling and recycling.
Global Maritime has now provided approvals for 35 platforms offshore the UK and Ireland.
The company’s offshore services comprise marine warranty, marine assurance, structural engineering, jackup site assessments, and operational planning and simulation.
