OSLO, Norway – The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) has granted Sval Energi a further extension to use of production facilities at the Vale Field in the North Sea.

Vale, discovered in 1991, was developed via a subsea template connected to a horizontal production well with a single side-track, tied back 16 km to the Heimdal platform. Water depth is 115 m.

Production started in 2002.

The PSA had recently authorized extended use of the facilities through June 11, 2023, and following a request from Sval has pushed the cut-off date to October 1, 2023.
