Petrofac awarded North Sea contract extension by EnQuest

Petrofac has secured an award of a contract extension from EnQuest supporting the Kittiwake platform.

The Greater Kittiwake Area comprises five offshore oil fields: Kittiwake, Mallard, Gadwall, Goosander and Grouse. EnQuest says through successful rejuvenation of the well stock, improving water injection capability and a focus on debottlenecking the production system, significant increases in volume and uptime have been achieved.

LONDON – Petrofac will remain duty holder of the Kittiwake platform in the UK central North Sea for a further three years, after operator EnQuest extended its current contract.
Shell installed the platform, with Venture Production becoming operator of the Greater Kittiwake Area in the early 2000s, appointing Petrofac as duty holder in 2003.
Petrofac has maintained this role ever since, working for EnQuest since 2014.
