SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy — Italian energy infrastructure group SNAM has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Spain’s Enagás.
This concerns a feasibility study on the construction of an offshore gas pipeline between Spain and Italy in the Mediterranean Sea.
According to Snam, this would be beneficial to Italy and other countries in Europe in terms of diversifying energy supply sources.
Reuters reported that the pipeline, if approved, would have a capacity of up to 30 Bcm/year.
