PSA approves plans of three Norwegian offshore operators

Gassco has received authorization from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to use the Nybro connection to Europipe II in the North Sea.

OSLO, Norway – Norwegian gas trunklines operator Gassco has received authorization from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) to use the Nybro connection to Europipe II in the North Sea.
The Europipe II Branch pipeline will be connected using a pipeline end manifold and two crossover spools to the existing subsea T-link (Nybro Tee) on Europipe II.
Others to secure recent consents for the PSA for their offshore programs are:
Norske Shell, approval for exploration drilling in block 6305/5 in the Norwegian Sea. The semisubmersible Transocean Barents will drill well 6305/5-C-3 H in 925 m (3,035 ft) water depth, with the same rig approved for production drilling at the deepwater Ormen Lange gas-condensate field
Equinor, cleared to bring in the Floatel Superior semisubmersible accommodation rig alongside the Grane field facilities in the central Norwegian North Sea.
