ABERDEEN, UK – Around 300 members of the UK’s Unite union working for Ponticelli UK and Semco Maritime in the North Sea were due to start prolonged strike action today.

It follows a dispute over terms and conditions, including rejection of an improved offer.

The staff work on Total Energies’ Alisa FSO, Culzean, Dunbar, and Elgin Franklin platforms, the Gryphon FPSO, the North Alwyn complex, and the onshore Shetland Gas Plant.

Measures include a continuous ban on overtime.
