SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy – Eni and Point Resources, co-owners of Norwegian E&P major Vår Energi, have begun a strategic review into the company’s future ownership.
The aims are to find ways of better pursuing future growth and maximize value creation, potentially via an Initial Public Offering.
Eni will continue to retain a majority interest in Vår Energi, which was formed in 2018 through the merger of Eni Norge and Point Resources.
Its H1 2021 production was 239,000 boe/d, and its 2P reserves base at the end of 2020 was 1,147 MMboe.
