OSLO, NorwayPandion Energy has entered a license swap agreement with ConocoPhillips Skandinavia on the Norwegian continental shelf.

If ratified, ConocoPhillips would receive 10% of Pandion’s interest in license PL 1047, in exchange giving Pandion its 20% share of PL 938 in the Haltenbanken area of the Norwegian Sea.

PL 938, located north of the Bauge and Hyme fields (both part of the redevelopment of the Njord area), contains the Calypso prospect.

Operator Neptune Energy Norge plans to drill an exploration well on the license in 2021 or 2022.

Aker BP operates PL 1047, which is adjacent to the current Martin Linge field development.

ConocoPhillips Skandinavia has the go-ahead from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill an exploration well in Norwegian Sea license PL 891.

The semisubmersible Leiv Eiriksson will spud well 6507/5-10 S, 15 km (9.3 mi) north of the Heidrun field, after completing another wildcat for the company in PL 1009.

This will be the first well on PL 891, which was awarded in February 2017.
