TEHRAN, Iran — The South Pars Phase 13 Alpha platform in the Persian Gulf is ready to start producing gas, according to a report from news service Shana.
Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji said the facility will initially produce 5 MMcm/d to 6 MMcm/d, rising later to 21 MMcm/d to 22 MMcm/d.
The platform had suffered severe structural damage after being struck by a Bahrain-owned commercial vessel, but it has since undergone repairs and renovations.
