Last month the company submitted its development plan for the Katlan discoveries on the Katlan license (ex-Block 12) and parts of the Tanin lease to Israel’s government. The company also issued a letter of award for the FEED to Technip UK.
Elsewhere in the Mediterranean Sea, first gas is on track for 2024 from the Eni-operated Cassiopea project offshore Sicily. Pipelay finished in July and subsea installation activities are progressing.
Energean expects to spud the Izabela-9 well offshore Croatia in the fourth quarter. Next year the company faces drill or drop decisions on the Ioannina license and Block 2 offshore Greece.
In the Gulf of Suez offshore Egypt, two wells are onstream at the NEA/NI gas development, NEA#5 and NEA#6, with two more set to come online later this year. PY#1 was completed and tested at 20 MMcf/d last month, while NI#1 should spud this month.
