ABL Group secures contract for Belbazem Project offshore UAE

LONDON — ABL Group has been appointed as marine warranty surveyor on the Belbazem Project offshore UAE.  

The Belbazem Project, located 120 km northwest of Abu Dhabi, comprises three oil fields, which will each have installed an offshore wellhead tower to be connected by 60 km of subsea pipeline and cables to the Zirku Island terminal in the Persian Gulf.

Al Yasat Petroleum Operations Co. Ltd. is the operator of the field development.

Under the scope, ABL Group will provide marine warranty survey services, including review and approval of critical marine and offshore operations such as loadout, transportation and installation of the facilities, which are being fabricated in Abu Dhabi.

ABL Group says it will maximize UAE in-country value by using its Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices to undertake the complete scope of services, using locally based staff. 

The company has not disclosed the value of the contract.
