The scope of the contract covers an integrated spread of equipment and technicians to support installation of a dynamic riser assembly. This will enable connection to a grid of permanent reservoir monitoring (PRM) sensors over wells at the Mero 1 and Mero 2 projects.
Besides the dynamic cable riser, the PRM network features backbone cables and more than 650 km of seismic array cables.
MDL will supply a horizontal SURF lay spread for installation next year on an MSS I-Class vessel.
Prior to this award, MDL was working on the FEED study into the feasibility of installation in the PRM network, with the umbilical, DUTA and five pigtail lines (installed simultaneously) supplied as pre-connected on a single reel.
MDL is exhibiting at booth P40 at ROG.e 2024 this week in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
