MMA Offshore’s MMA Coral vessel will support operations at Beach Energy’s two production platforms in the Bass Strait off southeast Australia.

PERTH, Australia  MMA Offshore’s MMA Coral vessel will support operations at Beach Energy’s two production platforms in the Bass Strait off southeast Australia.

The vessel also will perform subsea inspection and survey services, and it will assist drilling operations.

The one-year contract starts in November. Prior to delivery, a work class ROV spread will be fitted to the vessel for specialized subsea tasks, with a modular active heave compensated lifting spread deployed for other work scopes from the vessel, which will be supplied by local company Thrust Maritime.

Activities will run over several phases starting with seabed assessments, drilling E&P wells in the Geographe and Thylacine (pictured) gas fields, and installing seabed infrastructure to tie-in wells to the existing platform and pipeline.
