Mubadala delivers first gas from Pegaga offshore Malaysia

Mubadala Petroleum has produced first gas production from the Pegaga field in Block SK 320, offshore Sarawak, Malaysia.

ABU DHABI, UAE Mubadala Petroleum has produced first gas production from the Pegaga field in Block SK 320, offshore Sarawak, Malaysia.

Petronas Carigali and Sarawak Shell are the other partners,

Pegaga is in 108 m (354 ft) of water in the Central Luconia province. The development comprises an Integrated Central Processing Platform (ICPP) supported by an eight legged jacket, and designed to handled 550 MMcf/d of gas plus condensate.

The gas is exported through a new 4-km (2.5-mi), 38-in. subsea pipeline tied into an existing offshore gas network for delivery to the Petronas LNG complex in Bintulu.

The jacket and wellhead deck were constructed at the Lumut and Kuching yards, and installed offshore in April 2020 ahead of the start of development drilling campaign. The ICPP float-over and installation followed in August 2021.
