BANGKOK, Thailand – PTTEP’s new CEO Montri Rawanchaikul has outlined the company’s priorities over the next few years.
These include strengthening its core E&P business and exploring investment opportunities in new forms of energy.
PTTEP plans to step up exploration in Southeast Asia with a focus on natural gas fields, and will expedite development of newly discovered fields to increase petroleum production.
Projects in the Middle East will be driven toward planned schedules.
Other priorities include the Integrated Domestic Gas to Power Project (Gas to Power); new business opportunities such as carbon capture, utilization and storage to reduce greenhouse gas emissions; new forms of energy such as hydrogen, presently under a feasibility study; and further developments in technology and innovation, to be conducted by PTTEP subsidiary AI and Robotics Ventures Co.
