LONDON – RockRose Energy expects to complete its acquisition of North Sea E&P specialist Dyas B.V. for $124 million by early September.
The company, which earlier acquiredIdemitsu’s North Sea production interests, added that timetables for abandonment of 80% of its assets have been extended by at least a year.
It is also participating in studies on the Tain area in the UK central North Sea, where it is a partner in numerous fields as a result of the Idemitsu transaction.
These include the Ross and Blake fields. RockRose Energy is reportedly assessing options for either replacing the FPSOBleo Holm, which serves both fields, or committing to life extension works.
The Tain satellite discovery is a possible tie-in opportunity.
