DUBLIN, Ireland – Eni and its partners in frontier exploration license (FEL) 3/04 offshore southwest Ireland 3/04 have approved their 2019 work program and budget to include acquisition of a well site survey over the Dunquin South prospect.
This is an undrilled Lower Cretaceous carbonate exploration prospect close to the Dunquin North carbonate build-up, which according to partnerProvidence Resources hosts a residual oil column.
Approval was issued following interpretation of newly acquired 3D seismic data.
Tony O’Reilly, Providence’s CEO, said the well site survey was “a prerequisite for the drilling of an exploration well on this high impact exploration prospect.”
