BEIRUT, Lebanon – The Lebanese Petroleum Administration has pushed back the closing date for applications to Lebanon’s second offshore exploration licensing round to June 1, 2020.
Minister of Energy and Water for Lebanon, Raymond Ghajar, said the decision was taken due to the implications of the spread of COVID-19 and its impact on bid preparations by interested IOCs.
The previous deadline for submissions was April 30.
