TotalEnergies tackles compressor issue at North Sea Tyra field center

Hookup and commissioning work has finished on the Tyra West and Tyra satellite fields, but a problem has arisen.

TotalEnergies continues to encounter technical issues at the redeveloped Tyra complex in the Danish North Sea.

According to partner BlueNord, hookup and commissioning work has finished on the Tyra West and Tyra satellite fields, but a problem has arisen with a Low Pressure (LP) compressor transformer.

TotalEnergies is taking steps to initiate repairs and all teams and external suppliers are fully mobilized.

Testing work and commissioning continues as the operator looks to partially resume production from Tyra II during the summer of 2024. This should allow production from the satellite Harald field to resume shortly.

BlueNord expects Tyra II to reach plateau production during the fall.
