FPSO P-69 goes online in the Santos basin

Petrobras has started oil and gas production from the Lula Extremo Sul area in the presalt Santos basin offshore Brazil.

RIO DE JANEIRO– Petrobras has started oil and gas production from the Lula Extremo Sul area in the presalt Santos basin offshore Brazil.

The producing FPSOP-69, the eighth unit installed on the Lula field, is stationed about 290 km (180 mi) off the coast of Rio de Janeiro state, in a water depth of 2,150 m (7,054 ft).

The FPSOP-69 has the capacity to process up to 150,000 b/d of oil and compress up to 6 MMcm/d. It will ramp up production through eight producing and seven injection wells.

The Lula field is in theBM-S-11 concession operated by Petrobras (65%), in partnership with Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda. (25%) and Petrogal Brasil S.A. (10%).
