TEHRAN, Iran -- Output from the newly launched Phase 19 development of the South Pars field in the Persian Gulf will be 50 MMcf/d, according to Gholamreza Manouchehri, Petropars managing director.

This is equivalent to the production capacity from two of the project’s standard phases, he added in an interview with Iranian news service Shana.

Petropars is responsible for onshore facilities for Phase 19. Iran Offshore Engineering and Construction is handling all offshore work.

Some foreign companies would supply equipment for the development, but mostly this will be an Iranian venture, Manouchehri said.

Processed gas from Phase 19 will be injected into Iran’s natural gas pipeline network. The project will also produce 80,000 b/d of gas/condensate and 400 t/d of sulfur.
