PERTH, Western Australia – Intervention and remediation work is under way at the Tindalo-1 well in the Palawan basin, offshore Indonesia, reports Kairiki Energy. Nido Petroleum Ltd. is the operator in SC 54A.
The Pacific Ariki support vessel is on location and the well has been shut-in and re-entry operations begun. Logging is scheduled in order to determine the best method of managing the water influx into the well.
The Tindalo development uses a jackup rig and dynamically positioned storage vessel for production, and the first offtake is scheduled for about Sept. 18. The FSO currently holds 196,000 bbl of oil.
