Wartsila teaming up with Emerson for comprehensive electrical, power and automation supply service for floaters

(Oslo) Wartsila Automation Norway has teamed up with Emerson Process Management to offer a full electrical, power and instrumentation systems service for FPSO. Dedicated teams from the two companies will develop turnkey solutions, from front-end engineering and design to FPSO commissioning and operation.
The equipment package will include diesel and dual-fuel engines, generators, power distribution, electrical drives, motor control centers; and metering, valves, safety and automation systems.
Emerson recently announced a contract on its own for the first FPSO in the Mexican sector, Bergesen'sBW Enterprise, which will operate on Pemex's KMZ fields. Here Emerson is providing safety, automation, process instrumentation and fiscal metering. The company also supplied PlantWeb digital automation architecture and system integration services for Brunei Shell's Phase III Champion West platform.
