STAVANGER, Norway – Norwegian Energy Co. (Noreco) says the Huntington oil field development in the UK North Sea is nearing start-up.
All risers are connected to the subsea facilities, which are linked to theFPSOVoyageur Spirit. Following completion of the final subsea tie-in preparation by the DSV Polaris, and pre-commissioning, first oil is expected to flow by the end of the month. However, timing depends on weather conditions.
Six wells have been drilled with three of the four producers coming in above expectations according to another partner, Premier Oil.
