DORDERCHT, the Netherlands – Mammoet has started preparations for lifting modules onto the hull of the P-76 FPSO in Brazil for the CTTP76 consortium.
For the integration campaign Mammoet mobilized a 5,000-ton capacity crane from its PTC 200-DS fleet to performlifting operations. The company claims the system combines extreme lifting capacity with a long reach, small footprint, and maneuverability.
The company is responsible for weighing, transporting, and lifting 20 modules ranging in weights up to nearly 2,000 metric tons (2,204 tons).
Last week all were stationed at the Unidade Offshore Techint (UOT) integration yard in Pontal do Paraná, Paraná State, awaiting the arrival of the FPSO hull from the Enseada Inhauma shipyard in Rio de Janeiro.
Assembly of the crane has started, and theP-76 module integration should take place during the second half of the year at UOT.
