PTTEP lists E&P priorities for 2024

PTTEP has budgeted $6.7 billion for its E&P activities in 2024, targeting sales volume growth of 9%.

BANGKOK, ThailandPTTEP has budgeted $6.7 billion for its E&P activities in 2024, targeting sales volume growth of 9%.

Plans included maximizing production in the Gulf of Thailand from the G1/61 project (Erawan, Platong, Satun and Funan fields), G2/61 (Bongkot field), Arthit, S1, Contract 4 in the Malaysia–Thailand Joint Development Area, and other overseas development.

PTTEP has allocated $3.3 billion to support these activities.

It is also looking to advance development of the Lang Lebah discovery offshore Sarawak (SK410B Project) and others in Malaysia and Mozambique Area 1, with a collective budget of $762 million.

For exploration, the $220-million budgeted sum will go toward geological studies and drilling of exploration and appraisal wells offshore Thailand and Malaysia and in Oman and the UAE.

PTTEP’s emissions reduction goals for next year for its production facilities includes pursuing carbon capture and storage and lower-carbon E&P management, with $109 million allocated for these activities
