A capacity test at the five-platform Johan Sverdrup complex in the North Sea has delivered a record high production of 755,000 bbl/d of oil.

STAVANGER, Norway – A capacity test at the five-platform Johan Sverdrup complex in the North Sea has delivered a record high production of 755,000 bbl/d of oil.
According to operator Equinor, the process test also confirmed the facilities are technically robust, with no safety issues during the program.
Equinor and partners Aker BP, Petoro and TotalEnergies will look to maintain production levels of oil from the field, which also produces 31,500 boe/d of gas.
Johan Sverdrup is in the Utsirahøyden area, 160 km west of Stavanger, in water depths of 110-120 m.
