LONDON – Independent Oil and Gas (IOG) has commissioned Fugro to perform a site survey along the route of the Thames gas pipeline in the UK southern North Sea, which will export gas from IOG’s various fields in the area.
Late last month theM/V Fugro Galaxy mobilized to the area, which also takes in the proposed pipeline routes to connect the five fields to the Thames system, and all associated rig and platform locations.
Intelligent pigging will follow on the Thames pipeline, to its confirm integrity and fitness for purpose as the company’s key export route.
