DELFT, the Netherlands— Allseas’ Lorelay will perform installation and burial of the new pipeline for ONE-Dyas’ N05-A gas field development in the Dutch North Sea.
The production hub will be powered by offshore wind.
Allseas says it will deliver affordable gas from the field to homes and businesses by autumn 2024.
Allseas stated in its news release, "Our first vessel, Lorelay, will execute the pipeline installation and burial scope—36 years after her North Sea debut. In that time, she’s laid 9,000 kilometers of pipe—half in the North Sea!"
Allseas also secured transport and installation (T&I) work earlier this month for Vattenfall’s 1.4-GW Norfolk Boreas project, 47 km from the Norfolk coast in the southern UK North Sea. Aker Solutions, which with Siemens Energy is responsible for the grid connection infrastructure for Norfolk Boreas, contracted Allseas to provide T&I services for the high-voltage direct current converter station.
