GOTHENBURG, Sweden – Nord Stream AG has awarded MMT Sweden a three-year contract covering annual inspections of the Nord Stream gas pipeline system in the Baltic Sea.
MMT will conduct the program in co-operation with Reach Subsea, tasks including visual and acoustic survey services critical for pipeline integrity assessments of both Nord Stream lines which run from Russia to Germany.
The same partnership has been working on the project since 2017. According to MMT, experience gained over the past four years has led to reduced costs and increased efficiency via high-speed survey operations and automated data processing workflows.
MMT will handle project management, engineering, remote and post-processing from its office in Gothenburg, with offshore operations taking place in 1Q-2Q 2021.
