ABERDEEN, UK – Gaz-System has contracted Norwegian recruitment company Nova People to provide a range of support services for the Baltic Pipe project in eastern Europe.

Nova People will work with Aberdeen-based Fulkrum Technical Resources and Polish company P.U.I. EKO-INWEST, supplying personnel to support survey, construction, and inspection activities for the offshore pipelay and landfall operations.

Baltic Pipe, a collaboration between Gaz-System and Energinet.dk (Denmark), with support from the European Union, will take gas from fields offshore Norway via the Europipe system to Poland, Denmark, and adjacent countries.

Gaz-System is responsible for the 36-in. pipeline from landfall at Pogorzelica in Poland across the Baltic Sea to Bato Faxe in Denmark. From there, Energinet will take the line across Denmark, finalizing the pipeline route with a tie-in to Europipe.

The project is due to be completed by 4Q 2022.
