POGC extending South Pars export infrastructure offshore Iran

TEHRAN, Iran – Pars Oil and Gas Co. has completed a pipeline project for the South Pars Phase 19 development in the Persian Gulf.

Deputy director Project Seyed Hossein Azimi told news service Shana the company had constructed the first part of the second gas condensate export pipeline of the South Pars Site 2 export plant, using two sing point mooring (SPM) systems.

SPM 1 has been commissioned and following the arrival of the second SPM in Iran in May, construction of the pipeline and installation of this system is now under way in the southern part of the Asia Aram jetty. Shore pulling will be employed to pull the sea pipeline from the shore.

The capacity for loading gas condensate via the SPM 2 system is 7,000 cu m/hr, he added.
