More than 100 of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of offshore technology will attend Offshore Asia 2010. For this reason, the conference once again has the title of Asia’s premiere conference for offshore technology and subsea applications.

Again this year, industry professionals are gathering from throughout the world, particularly the energy centers of Asia-Pacific– including Malaysia, Thailand, India, China, Vietnam, Australia/New Zealand, and Indonesia – for the only conference focused entirely on Asian offshore exploration and production.

The 2010 Offshore Asia Conference and Exhibition brings the latest advances in this rapidly expanding offshore marketplace. The conference theme “Issues and Solutions for Asia’s E&P Challenges” focuses on the specific technological needs of the Asian offshore arena.

The conference program covers a broad range of technical and topical issues from E&P to Multiphase Pumping, with a full schedule of tutorials and technical paper sessions. The program provides the most comprehensive and concentrated insight into the most important factors influencing Asia’s offshore industry.

The event will start with one of the show’s most popular events, the Opening Night Reception on the exhibit floor on Tuesday, March 16 from 17:00 – 18:30. As in previous years, the opening reception promises to be well attended with food, drinks, and an opportunity to catch up with old friends or make new ones. The party is sponsored by Oil States Industries Inc.

On Wednesday, March 17, conference attendees get down to business with an opening plenary hosted by Eldon Ball, the Offshore Conferences director of PennWell Corp. Dato Kalim, managing director of Petronas Carigali is scheduled to join the opening speakers with a keynote address, while other experts will discuss what the future holds for the industry with an insightful forecast.

As with previous years, the technical sessions are divided into thematic tracks.

On Tuesday, the opening sessions will look at Project Management, with papers from Petronas, DYNA-MAC Engineering, and Petrobras. The Multiphase Pumping sessions will include presentations from OGFC, Aker Solutions, and Framo Engineering.

According to a leading oil and gas research firm, the Asian offshore industry will grow substantially over the next decade. Deepwater exploration is shifting into high gear, as operators test vast unexplored areas for huge new reserves. At the same time, the offshore equipment and technology market is growing accordingly.

Don’t miss this chance to take part in the next great growth area for offshore exploration and development.
