OSLO, NorwayPGS has started depth reprocessing of GeoStreamer and conventional 2D data over deepwater offshore Côte d’Ivoire.

The PSDM program, a collaboration with PetroCi and Direction Générale des Hydrocarbures, will cover 6,574 line km of conventional 2D seismic data and 1,031 line km of GeoStreamer 2D.

It is designed to improve depth imaging over unlicensed blocks in the deepwater Ivorian and Tano basins in an area downdip of Eni’s Baleine and Calao discoveries.

Through applying modern broadband reprocessing, PGS expects to highlight the significant remaining potential of Cretaceous plays along the margin.

Velocity model building should lead to clearer imaging of turbidite channel and fan systems in structural and stratigraphic traps, the company said, while AVO-compliant pre-stack data should help illuminate subtle depositional features, de-risking exploration.

PGS expects to issue final products in first-quarter 2025.
