Rockhopper Exploration commissions 2D seismic and electromagnetic surveys in two Falkland Islands licenses

(Falklands) The survey vesselGSI Pacific has arrived in the Falkland Islands to begin a four-week 2D seismic acquisition program for Rockhopper Exploration. It will cover an area of around 900 sq km in offshore licenses PL023 and PL024; Rockhopper already has 1,832-km of 2D data over these licenses, with several prospects and leads identified.
Also in PL024, Offshore Hydrocarbon Mapping has completed its first controlled source electromagnetic survey. The survey vesselMV Aurelia has since moved to a second survey location. Processing and interpretation of this data should take three to four months.
