DUBAI, UAE –Polarcus has completed its first commercial onboard broadband fasttrack data processing project.
A 1,750-sq km (676-sq mi) broadband 3D volume was successfully processed through prestack time migration onboard the Polarcus seismic vessel within 24 days after the last shot point, with the PSTM being completed in just 18 hours.
“The rapid turnaround of this high-quality broadband 3D PSTM volume so soon after last shot we believe sets a new standard for advanced onboard data processing,” said Phil Fontana, Polarcus chief geophysicist. “This will enable our client to analyze their data much faster than was previously possible, helping them save both time and money in their evaluation.”
