Ubu Spoolbase is located in Espirito Santo, 1 hour flying time north of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The base runs 2,276 m and covers an area of 74,000 sq m.
The location is in 2,000 m water depth and about 180 km from the coast of Rio de Janeiro state.
Subsea7’s work scope covers engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and pre-commissioning of 102 km of rigid risers and flowlines for the steel lazy wave production system.
Project management and engineering have started at the company’s offices in Rio de Janeiro and Paris.
Fabrication of the pipelines will take place at Subsea7’s spoolbase at Ubu in Espirito Santo state, with offshore operations due to take place in 2026 and 2027.
