HOUSTON – Since starting production on July 15, the Droshky development in the Gulf of Mexico has increased production to 45,000 net boe/d, says Marathon Oil Corp. Production consists of 39,000 b/d of liquid hydrocarbons and 39 MMcf/d of natural gas.
Droshky has four wells tied back to the Bullwinkle platform. Three of the wells are producing above expectations and the fourth awaits re-entry in 1Q 2011 for equipment repair.
Droshky is in approximately 3,000 ft (914 m) of water in Green Canyon block 244, about 160 mi (257 km) southwest of New Orleans.
