MONTREAL, Canada – HFG Engineering Europe (HFGE) has contracted SNC-Lavalin (TSX: SNC) to perform detailed design of the jacket for the Gina Krog field platform offshore Norway.
The two companies will jointly handle engineering of the 16,000-metric ton (17,637-ton) barge-launched structure, with SNC-Lavalin doing its share of the work from its offices in Croydon, near London.
The Statoil-operatedGina Krog oil, gas and condensate field will be developed using a fixed platform tied into the Sleipner facilities for gas export, with oil offloaded to shuttle tankers. It is due to come onstream early in 2017.
