DUBAI, UAE – Shelf Drilling has completed its purchase and acquisition of the jackup Ocean Scepter from Diamond Offshore.
It has re-named the rigShelf Drilling Scepter and expects it to be mobilized soon on a dry tow carrier to the Middle East.
The company financed the acquisition via a combination of cash and the proceeds from an initial public offering completed in June.
